Get your friends, family and colleagues together and make a brew for breast cancer this March. By popping the kettle on and hosting your own Big Tea Cosy party between Over 60,000 people a year in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer and as many of you know a diagnosis can be frightening and the treatment gruelling. Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and medication can all take its toll. Breast Cancer Haven help people cope with the debilitating effects of treatment and the emotional toll of living with breast cancer. At five centres across the UK, their healthcare professionals and therapists run programmes of support, including counselling, supportive therapies to help combat stress, exhaustion and nausea as well as practical advice on things like healthy eating, exercise, money and work. Now in its sixth year, The Big Tea Cosy has raised more than £210,000 to provide vital one-to-one emotional, physical and practical support to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families. With your help, this year they can raise even more.
