A first to market; Little Dish launched in 2006, disrupting the children’s food category. Little Dish was founded by Hillary Graves, a mother frustrated by the lack of healthy fresh food products for toddlers in supermarkets. She had observed that given the two-year shelf life of the baby food found on the children’s ambient aisle, parents were often feeding their little ones food that was actually older than the child consuming it. Hillary established Little Dish from her kitchen table with the ambition of offering parents fresh, nutrient-packed meals free from additives and nasties. In 2015 Hillary’s husband, Dean Brown, joined the company to become her business partner and is now CEO of Little Dish.
Proudly stocked by all major UK food retailers including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Amazon and Ocado, Little Dish home-style recipes are developed with the advice of the brand’s in-house baby and child Nutritionist, Charlotte Stirling-Reed, ensuring that parents are able to confidently feed their children a well-balanced meal, containing nothing but fresh ingredients and absolutely no additives or preservatives. The hand-made dishes always include at least one, but typically two, of a child’s recommended five-a-day and every dish meets the exacting standards of the 150-strong panel of Little Dish Tiny Tasters, who taste everything that comes out of the Little Dish Kitchen before it’s brought to market.
The Little Dish range includes ten hand-made meals, including the best-selling Salmon & Pollock Fish Pie, British Beef Lasagne and British Chicken & Veg Pie, as well as three delicious finger food options. The dishes are based on family favourites that parents would cook in their own kitchen when their little ones are discovering the taste and texture of new foods. More adventurous dishes in the range include Mild Tikka with Rice & British Chicken, and Mild Korma with Rice & British Chicken.
The Little Dish range includes gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and plant-based options, all cooked in small batches, just as they would be at home. Sustainably sourced ingredients are of the highest quality, including 100% British meat, sustainably sourced fish, wholesome vegetables and just the right amount of herbs and spices for little palettes. Little Dish provides complete transparency with its products, for which parents can request exact recipes.
